精裝書是一種書的裝訂方式，配有具保護(hù)性的硬底封面(普遍采用硬紙板，外覆以織物、厚紙或小牛皮等皮革)。在大陸的圖書一般都是簡裝書，但是簡裝書不適合保存，精裝書就是一種美觀，易保存的圖書，具有很高的收藏價值，所以圖書收藏愛好者和圖書館都喜歡精裝書。

Hardcover book is a kind of book binding method, with a protective hard bottom cover (generally using cardboard, covered with fabric, thick paper or leather). 精裝書常見的幾種形式：

一、按書脊形式來分，有方形書脊和圓形書脊兩種。

1、 According to the spine form, there are square spine and round spine.

1、方形書脊，其厚度要比書芯顯得厚些。由于書芯折疊及索線的原因，書脊的高度要高于書芯，印張越多越明顯。因此，方形書脊的精裝書不宜太厚，一般適用于20mm以內(nèi)的書脊。

2、圓形書脊，因前后書貼的地位略有不同，書貼的折疊處略呈半圓形，分布在一個弧面上，其厚度得到平衡。書芯的翻口處與書脊的凸圓形相適應(yīng)，呈凹圓形。所以較厚的圖書采用圓形書脊較好。圓脊書是經(jīng)過扒圓加工后背脊成圓弧形的，一般以書芯厚度為弦與圓弧對呈130°為宜。圓脊又可分為圓背無脊(只扒圓不起脊)和圓背有脊(扒圓起脊，起脊的高度一般與書殼的紙板厚度相同)兩種。

二、按用料分，可分為脊面同料和脊面異料兩種。
